The hall sits prominently on the village green within Stillington Conservation Area.

This former village school, built in 1821, is now in much need of refurbishment and the project aims to create a sustainable community building for the next 50 years. To do this we will fully insulate the walls and roof, replace the pitched and flat roof coverings and replace the heating system.

We propose to install 6.5kwp of photovoltaic panels and 'thin-film' PV to both the pitched and flat roofs, as well as installing an air source heat pump connected to a series of low temperature radiators.

The outside walls will be clad in insulated natural hydraulic lime render.
